In this session we will learn about the presence of Afro descendant people in Mexico, specifically in the small southern state of Morelos. We will discuss historical social movements that have been key to the modern construction of México. We will further examine how educational policy in México has erased this Black History and how new approaches to history education are creating new narratives of identity and resistance.
