Art in Migration
Showcasing art as a response to all forms of migration.
This creative and critical showcase presents art of the Americas born from the experience of exile, deportation, and other forms of migration. By providing a space for dissident and undocumented writers, we will gain access to important works of literature that remind us of just how high the stakes can be for writers and artists in given contexts and countries. We will partner with organizations such as City of Asylum and Undocupoets to help bring artists to campus. And we will feature local writers and artists who have migrated to Chicago from abroad.
