Chicago Writing Partnerships
Building a community of writers in Chicago.
This initiative will support writers in the community, particularly those who come from underserved communities, or those who write in languages other than English. Faculty and students affiliated with the Center will lead workshops in neighborhoods and community centers throughout the city. We will host readings and gatherings for established and up-and-coming writers in venues such as local libraries, park district facilities, workers’ centers and art spaces. We hope to demonstrate a commitment to building citywide alliances and supporting writing outside of the university.
